(P7081) "Captain Kinner Dead. Veteran Yachtsman's Death Resulted From Self-Inflicted Wound. Port Jefferson, New York; April 10, 1903. Captain John H. Kinner, aged 87, died last night from the effect of a self inflicted wound made nearly four weeks ago. Funeral services will be held at his late home on South street. Monday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, and the remains will be interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery. There will be a Masonic service at the grave, the deceased being a member of Suffolk Lodge No. 60. He was also a member of Port Jefferson Council, R. A. He leaves a widow and two children. Miss Laura and William H. Kinner. He was born in the village and had followed yachting for several years. He expected to have charge of the yacht Montecito this season, and received word from the owner to fit up the boat on the day he cut his throat." (language: en)
