"Nicholas Bennett, son of Johannes Bennett and Malte Letten, born December 15, 1743; died September 21, 1796; married December 2, 1773, Mary or Maria Duryea, daughter of Joost Duryea and Willempy Terhune, born January 23, 1752; died December 20, 1834. Her mother in her will gives her the pewter platter marked "M. R. T." (Compiled from a Psalm book in possession of Mrs. Sarah M. Youngs of Cedar Swamp, and a Bible of Nicholas of Oyster Bay, a grandson and son of Roelof). She was admitted to the church as a widow, October 28, 1815. Issue: Maratye Bennett, married Rem Cashow. George Bennett, married Susan Travis. Femetye Bennett, married John Voorhis. Willimpie Bennett, married May 1782. Johannes Bennett, married Ann Nostrand. Roelof Bennett, married Elizabeth Hendrickson. Margaret Bennett, married Jesse B. Wright." (language: en)
